Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston reveal exclusively in the new Us Weekly that they are getting married.

And, they tell Us Weekly, former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has been kept in the dark about their plans ... until now.

"We got engaged two weeks ago," Bristol, 19, tells Us Weekly. "It felt right, even though we dont have the approval of our parents."

I wish them well. The Palin family has much forgiveness in their hearts. For me Levi can’t be trusted, and if I were Bristol’s Mom that’s what I would tell her.

Sarah & Todd released a statement this morning:

Bristol at 19 is now a young adult. We obviously want what's best for our children. Bristol believes in redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in practice in our daily lives.

You know, if they keep announcing their engagement and then breaking up, and then announcing it again and breaking up again, who knows how many US Weekly or People Magazine covers they could milk this for?

To: stylecouncilor
I don’t see that this is going to end well. This young man is a jerk of the first order. Bristol just keeps making bad decisions.

People change and grow up. I hope they have and at least the baby will have a father and mother in the same home.

Oh well, if it feels good, do it.
Bristol will have to learn the hard way AGAIN.
How grownup can she be if she’s afraid to tell mommy and daddy. Ugh.

Never, EVER, trust, for any reason: pitbulls, muslims, money-grubbing-abusive-scumbag-futureless-opportunistic-selfserving-loser-assholes-named-Levi. Flush this bastard, Bristol. You will be sorry if you don’t.

I wish them well as well, but it’s not wise to announce it the world before announcing it to your parents. Just not smart. Yeah, she’s 19 and doesn’t need permission from them, but at least to have let them know before telling it to a celebrity magazine?

To: Houghton M.
Yes, it is tacky, but I’m guessing Bristol wanted to do it publicly so Todd wouldn’t kick his butt! :)
