It's time to celebrate! Our fellow FReeper, Vendome, helps care for his old dancing partner who turns 100 years old on July 6th.
The party is this weekend, and I thought it would be fun for us FReepers to get on the bandwagon and wish her a Happy 100th Birthday. Vendome can print this out to show her. You only turn 100 once!
With things as bad as they are in this Admin, we need to celebrate something.
Is there anyway this can be put on the sidebar a bit? I know its a vanity, but I want this to be a birthday gift for her, so the more posts the better.
Happy 61st anniversary of your 39th birthday! My dad is 85 today.
ping and please ping your other lists. I would love to see this thread take off.
Let’s help Vendome celebrate his ‘girlfriend’s’ birthday.
Does she have a name? So we don’t just have to say, “Happy Birthday, old lady!” ?
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday Dear Lady! God Bless you!
I don’t know her name. Maybe Vendome can enlighten us.
Happy 100th birthday and many happy returns!
Congratulations! 100 years young.....
HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY!
And to many, many more!
Wow! Happy 100th! Cheers! *sings and dances for the birthday lady* ;)
Please pass the following message to your centenarian friend:
I looked up some things about 1910:
1. The Philadelphia Athletics defeated the Chicago Cubs in 5 games to win their first World Series.
2. The first junior high school in the US opened, in Berkeley CA.
3. The Boy Scouts of America were incorporated.
4. First nighttime flight of an airplane.
5. The electric washing machine was patented.
6. Yellow Cab was founded.
7. First state fair held, the “Berkshire Cattle Fair”, in Pittsfield, MA.
8. The first movie stunt was done: a man jumped into the Hudson River from a burning balloon.
9. Penn Station opened as the world’s largest railway terminal.
10. Neon lights first seen on public display, at the Paris Auto Show.
Hope your 2010 holds some interesting and fun events for you, too. God bless.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! You’ve beaten the odds. May you beat many more.
Many happy returns ! Happy Birthday ! :)
That’s funny! That is one of the jokes I am using at the party!
Told it to another recently and she thought it funny. I said don’t blame me, I think it was line from a Ronald Reagan Birthday celebration.
Then again, it might have been Bob Hope. Who knows “Surprise me”.
I am working on a write up of the party as it progresses and will post with reaganaut’s help.
She has really helped me in the last 6 months to understand how to provide better care for my friend and I THANK YOU.
Congratulations to your Dad and Happy Birthday!
Awww...you are welcome, Vendome. You have a busy few days ahead of you.
