Surveillance Video Released in Joran Van Der Sloot Killing of Peruvian Woman

Here is a video report that includes video of Joran Van Der Sloot being questioned by officials in Peru in the death of a young woman found dead in his hotel room five years to the day after Natalee Holloway went missing in Aruba.

Van Der Sloot is seen being paraded before reporters by Peruvian police, getting a physical exam, and being questioned by authorities. Police believe there is no doubt he committed the murder. The report also shows surveillance video of Van Der Sloot and the young woman entering the hotel room together, and of Van Der Sloot leaving the room alone hours later. As he left the hotel, he reportedly told the clerk to “not bother my girl,” and had turned the TV up so loud that maids did not enter the room for two days.

First off, let's not forget, in some of the nations in South America, Police investigations are not always on the up-and-up. From what we've been shown, he's definitely the likely suspect...

Nope. No solitary confinement. A $5.00 USD bribe will prohibit your 12-20 roomates (12x12 cell) from raping you. (Implied in that is that $10USD will enable it). The guards are crooked, whose sole purpose is to keep them from escaping, not to manage what happens on the inside.

Also, there is an illicit sex trade among weaker prisoners for benefit of having an unsoiled mattress to sleep on instead of the wet, moldy, dirty floor.

My old roomate was a Marine Embassy Guard who worked all over S. America. He told me that they DO have the death penalty, but only for treason, sedition (or their equivalent), and the murder of judges, magistrates, constables, and other judicial branch-oriented officials.

I agree. Since there were drugs found in her car, I expected him to have drugged her. But on the video, she did not appear drugged and not forced to accompany Joran. Since it has been alleged she was a lesbian, I wonder how he managed to get her to follow him if this is true.
