HYATTSVILLE, Md. (AP) - President Barack Obama says the addition of 431,000 new jobs in May shows "the economy is getting stronger by the day."

Look....it’s up to the PRODUCERS of the News shows as to who they will let on TV......it’s out of the Pubbies hands.
Now, not all of those were hired in May, but the majority of them were. I suspect we were flat at best, if not a sizable loss in jobs.
Not good. But not unexpected either.
STATEMENT FROM RNC CHAIRMAN MICHAEL STEELE ON MAY UNEMPLOYMENT NUMBERS
WASHINGTON Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele released the following statement today:
I welcome job growth any day, week or month of the year, but the figures released today need to be stamped with Buyer Beware. While Democrats will likely cling to the slight uptick reported this month, the reality is that these numbers are greatly inflated by hundreds of thousands of government census jobs that are both temporary and based on questionable reporting. Of the 431,000 jobs reported, more than 411,000 will disappear when the census is complete.
The underlying fact is that 9.7 percent unemployment is unacceptable by any standard. No amount of spin will resolve the fact that the Presidents policies have been a colossal failure when it comes to creating jobs. If his speech in Pennsylvania was any indication, President Obama has no intention of slowing his high-spending, big-government agenda that prevents the private sector from creating the jobs we need to put our economy back on track.
When your enemy is destroying themselves you just stay out of the way.
They ain't my leaders. If they do as I tell them to, they may earn the title "my servants." But they won't ever be "my leaders."
My congresscritter is Issa, but apart from him I see zip, zero, nada from the GOP. Either they are supremely stupid (75% chance) or they believe that Obozo will self destruct (I believe it, but are the GOP leaders smart enough to recognize it?)
This is the same man who sat next to Tim Kaine on a Sunday show and said not a word in response to Kaine's "This administration will create more jobs in 2010 than Bush did in eight years."
Of course, as I am typing it I now realize he may be talking about govt. jobs. But. Steele sat there with that idiot look on his face and didn't even respond.
Title should be: "Obama: Economy 'getting stronger by the day'"
Why aren't they helping him?
OK! We are back to the 75% thing then.
Touche`
So 570000 census employees take six months to count 300 million people. What do they do, count three people each and call it a day?
I guess that’s not really a fair comparison. Some of the employees man the traveling census history bus to educate citizens (and non citizens) about the history. Some produce television and internet commercials for this government program. Some even dress up in costumes to pound the pavement in poor and minority neighborhoods to “raise awareness.”
Steele has a lot of great qualities. I watched him give a pep talk to a group of high school kids and it really was great.
Bus as a spokesperson, he stinks.
This report is a sign that our economy is getting stronger by the day,” Obama said during a visit to a trucking firm in suburban Maryland.
Republicans cited the fact that 411,000 of the 431,000 new jobs dealt with the Census, and that private hiring fell short of expectations.
“The trillion-dollar stimulus signed into law by President Obama with promises that it would keep unemployment below 8% and that 90% of the jobs it created would be in the private sector, has fallen well short,” said House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio.
