Question #4
I’m going to plant squash tomorrow. Zucchini, yellow, and Acorn. I’ve forgotten. Do those seeds need to be soaked overnight.
Thanks in advance.

I never do but I do over plant in a hill and then snip off all but 2 or 3. Perhaps other Mid-West gardeners can guide you?

I have never soaked a squash seed of any kind. I planted some white scalloped squash the other day and it was up 5 days later. Then again, it's 96 degrees here. If your soil is warm and has moisture, you're okay.

I don’t soak squash/melon seeds, nor do I thin plants. Why kill a healthy plant? I don’t thin beets or carrots, either...
