Bret Michaels has suffered what doctors call a "warning stroke," or a transient ischemic attack, according to his Web site.
The rocker, 47 -- who is still recovering from a brain hemorrhage -- was "readmitted to the hospital this week after suffering numbness on the left side of his body, predominately his face and hands," according to a statement posted on his site.
While undergoing tests -- including an MRI and CT scan -- doctors also discovered he has a hole in his heart.

80’s Metal Ping!!
Man, I hope he makes it through this. He seems like a really good guy. He has lived hard, though. His body may just be wearing down.
Thousands of now forty-something year old women holding candlelight vigils in bleached jeans with holes at knees?
He was really impressive on Celebrity Apprentice.
Good guy with a grand heart. He quickly became beloved by the others in the competition (and viewers IMHO).
Prayers that his health problems clear up and he can go back to his life.
Sorry for all his troubles.
Prayers.
God Bless you, Bret.
My first concert was Ratt/Poison ‘87. They were fun to watch, especially C.C.
He’s had a tough time and now tougher.
God bless him.
I didn’t know him or about him before Celebrity Apprentice and he has impressed me as a truly decent person.
Holly, on the other hand, wow. I used to like her but now I don’t. Let’s put it that way.
Nice use of guyliner!
He always gives a “shout-out” to the men and women of the US Armed Forces and Poison concerts. His dad is a Korean vet and his older brother is a Nam vet.
and Poison concerts = at Poison concerts
"At the drive in....in the old man's Ford....behind the bushes........"
I missed that. Thank you for telling me.
Bret is surprisingly solid.
I hope he pulls through.
Prayers for his health.
And the hits just keep coming. Hope he’s better soon.
That's the wrong band. Are they sure they didn't get Nuno Bettencourt's MRI?
He’s got my prayers.
Having a stroke seems consistent when considering that he’s been a type 1 diabetic since childhood. He spent some of his success and youth drinking too much, perhaps worse.
Last I heard he was clean and sober and had been for a good many years.
For some of us, the sins of our youthful years do catch up.
I survived my stroke... it was very tough, but he can too.
I hope he has a full recovery.
