Bob McDonnell; Scott Brown; Sarah Palin; Rick Santorum; Petraeus - All Telegenic Presidential Candidates. OUT: Newt Gingrich; Haley Barbour; Pawlenty. It is critical that the next Republican candidate for president not only be a true conservative but one who can project a telegenic image to sway voters to pull the lever for them. The outcome of the presidential election of 2012 will either result in the signing of this nation's death warrant with an Obama re-election or trail-blaze a path to a miraculous political resurrection. With this being the case we simply cannot have our blinders on regarding the crucial issue of telemetrics no matter how articulate or informed the candidate is. Of course these qualities are essential but in the end "image" matters because it is how a candidate "connects" with the voting masses.
Check out John Thune—telegenic, handsome, princpled, articulate, truly conservative,....maybe even electable.
I've been trying to convince my fellow conservatives that they have been wasting their time in a fruitless quest for a new Ronald Reagan to emerge and lead our party and our nation. I insisted that we'd never see his like again because he was one of a kind. I was wrong! Wednesday night I watched the Republican National Convention on television and there, before my very eyes, I saw my Dad reborn; only this time he's a she. And what a she! This was Ronald Reagan at his best -- the same Ronald Reagan who made the address known now solely as "The Speech," which during the Goldwater campaign set the tone and the agenda for the rebirth of the traditional conservative movement that later sent him to the White House for eight years and revived the moribund GOP. Welcome back, Dad, even if you're wearing a dress and bearing children this time around.
~Michael Reagan, radio talk show host and son of President Ronald Reagan
Are you endorsing someone other than Sarah? The horror! /sarcasm>
After the media lynching she's been through, to come out the other end, this strong and this energized and this good-spirited, without a trace of Nixonian bitterness (though she certainly deserves to feel that way) is remarkable.
Now we all understand why the Dem-Media knew it was crucial for them to destroy her. It's because she is the Real Deal.
Yes- most definitely!!!!
Younger and good looking will help. Thune is good and the others are good as well. Brown might not work with social conservatives. I like Santorum too. Petraeus says he is not running. Palin gets marked down by me for McStain connection. McDonnell? Like him and Ken Cucinneli from VA. Also like Chris Christie cause he is a fighter.
No Newt,Huck, Pawlenty,Mitt.
Like resigning her office of Governor just 2.5 years in her first term because she could not handle the attacks from the her opponents. Oh yeah, she did it for the tax payers of Alaska say her followers. Do you understand how stupid this excuse is in the real world of politics? You do not. Why? Because you are blinded by the red meat and rhetoric she throws you daily. She is nothing but Obama of the right.
Your guy Romney's going nowhere, bub.
And I guess you missed Sarah's speech today at the SRLC, where she brought the house down...
I still like Rick Santorum....a lot.
Tell us what you really think?
Pffffft (eyes rolling)
Noooo...she resigned to thwart a carefully planned and executed Axelrod plan to trap and crush her once and for all in Alaska.
What part of that do you NOT understand. It's been well documented. You're supposed to smarter than that, but I guess not.
Who told you that I support Romney? Another conjecture for Palin cultist. Sarah Palin brought the house down, so what? It is only WORDS, RED MEAT, and RHETORIC. Her toughness should have been shown in the real world when she was a governor but she was easily defeated and surrendered to her opponents.
LOL... the Palin cultists are now into conspiracy theories that make them even stupider than they really are.
(((PING)))
So, you're going down the BobJ road I see...
