It hasn't attracted much notice, but recently some prominent advocates of Obamacare have spoken more frankly than ever before about why they supported a national healthcare makeover. It wasn't just about making insurance more affordable. It wasn't just about bending the cost curve. It wasn't just about cutting the federal deficit. It was also about redistributing wealth.
Health reform is "an income shift," Democratic Sen. Max Baucus said on March 25. "It is a shift, a leveling, to help lower-income, middle-income Americans."
In his halting, jumbled style, Baucus explained that in recent years, "the maldistribution of income in America has gone up way too much, the wealthy are getting way, way too wealthy, and the middle-income class is left behind." The new healthcare legislation, Baucus promised, "will have the effect of addressing that maldistribution of income in America."
At about the same time, Howard Dean, the former Democratic National Committee chairman and presidential candidate, said the health bill was needed to correct economic inequities. "The question is, in a democracy, what is the right balance between those at the top ... and those at the bottom?" Dean said during an appearance on CNBC. "When it gets out of whack, as it did in the 1920s, and it has now, you need to do some redistribution. This is a form of redistribution."

thanks for the post!
The harsh fact of the matter is when youre going to pass legislation that will cover 300 American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people. - John Dingell
To a man these dems are kool-aid drinkers of the highest order...they actually believe this nonsense, when really they are just ‘redistributing’ the middle. The elites are always protected by lawyers and the rest of us have to reshuffle our chairs on the Titanic.
Never, he said. “That’s what the tax code is for.”
Proven point as the bill provides for how many new agents?
We can only hope that more and more proof of democrat lies regarding this manure that passes for... Manure becomes clear to more and more people.
Oh, at least they are being partially honest about the “health care” bill which here on Freep we always knew had very little to do with either health care services, delivery, or insurance.
And let’s also remember — none of this applies to Congress or other federal employees—so they aren’t redistributing THEIR wealth —just privately employed, taxpayer wealth....
Its really about control

Control is one thing. What I have never understood, and what I have never heard discussed is the 300 people comment. Is he referring to 300 million, and his tongue slipped, or have I missed something?
You’re welcome.
“the wealthy are getting way, way too wealthy...”
= ‘the successful are being way, way too successful...’
The fact that they are being vocal about ‘wealth maldistribution’ at this moment is just a reflection of their strategy to stop the bleeding and hold on to seats in November. They are going to try to use the class warfare card again.

Opinion:
Yes.
They’re not even stealing from the wealthy. They are stealing from the middle class. It’s the family with 6 kids and 30k combined yearly income who will get taxed to the point that the family dies in a hospital bed.
Obama and the other worthless vermin should suffer forever for what they have done. There is no punishment too severe for these evil lumps of trash.
So much proof found when one actually reads a 2700 page bill. I can’t wait for more revelations as the true nature of the beast becomes more and more evident. Those with their hands out can hardly wait for all the freebies NOT coming their way. They and everyone else in the country have been had in the worst way.
We are headed for communism unless we head this insanity off asap.
O’Reilly cut him off as he does most of his guests, but Dick Morris tried to make an interesting point on this issue. He said ObamaCare and Cap & Trade are designed to equalize the north and the south—to make it pointless for a company or individuals to go south for lower taxes and more freedom from government.
Obama is carrying on the Yankee War of Aggression.
It's going to have a whole lot to do with all three, with very negative impacts.
I have never in my life been more upset at my fellow citizen for voting for these communists.
My aunt and uncle, which both voted for Hussein, told mom that they have never been as mad at themselves in their lives for doing so. They are in their seventies.
