The man, 35, was covered with scrapes and cuts and had been waving the sword aggressively and stabbing objects in the parking lot of the Pro Build building-supply store near Highway 305 and High School Road around 1:45 p.m. An off-duty Bainbridge Island police officer approached the oddly behaving man and told him to lay down his sword, knives and other sharp objects he was carrying. The agitated man complied. He then told the off-duty officer and other officers who’d gathered there he was “hunting werewolves and C.H.U.D.s” who can disguise themselves as humans. He said he was afraid of getting hurt.
