The Obama File wasn’t ‘some obscure blog’.
It was the most comprehensive Obama data base on the net.
It contained all the history we have on Obama (and his associates) from his African relatives to the present- all in one place.
It was an excellent research data base and all of it backed up by links to his speeches, books, and matters of record.
Nowhere else does such a data base exist.

well who do you suppose is responsible for the fact that a majority of freepers, myself included, never heard of it? conservatives accept blame, don’t assign it to others. how the heck can you blame US for not knowing about it?

Well, here's a great opportunity for a capitalist. Create your own site and do what this guy did. Only KEEP IT FREE and come up with a way to make it pay. Sell ads. Join affiliate programs. Take donations. Hire a salesperson on a commission basis. Whatever. Why would anyone pay for such information at another site when they can get it for free at your site? The better you do, the more you can put into updating the site and make it even better than your competitors.
When life hands you a lemon...don't suck on it and complain how sour it is.

May I suggest you get a subscription to the site? Why do you insist Free Republic members pay to keep it free?

Theobamafile was exactly that. The man put in countless hours collecting , organizing, and publishing everything he could about the usurper that is now in the white house. It is (was) an invaluable reference tool.
I visited his site often and donated as much as I could.
It was selected by the Library of Congress as a reference source.
His site is second to none.

“Nowhere else does such a data base exist.”
Only in your warped mind!
Since it was a blog, glad it’s dead!
