Fox enjoys the rarefied atmosphere and lofty perch of being Americas number one cable TV news outlet, consistently garnering viewer ratings which exceed all their main competitors ratings combined. Amidst this laudable list of programming of otherwise perennially pristine political punditry, however, lies a misnomer of ignominy and craven pecuniary pandering; it's on the Bill OReilly show. Caution! You are about to enter the No Spin Zone.
He then sets about spinning so fast that he makes a dreidel look sluggish. I nevertheless must give credit where credit is due. When on occasion the un-spun facts of a matter happen to align conveniently with his own personal viewpoints on the topic, he is capable of fair and accurate commentary. I admit, I actually have seen him do this a couple times. More often, however, Bildo will present as much of the pure facts on a topic as his oddly tilted mélange of frequently conflicting sensibilities will allow, immediately after which he sets off on a fervent campaign of selling his take on the rest of the story; and what a story it tells.
Of all his intellectually dishonest transgressions herewith, and they are legion, the very worst and most insulting is his treatment of Americas Dictator In Chief, Resident of the United States Barrak Obama. If one were to listen to OReilly, one would believe that Barrack is an honest man who actually has the best interests of the people at heart. Notwithstanding that everything about Obama, including ninety percent of everything he says publicly, is a provable lie. Leaving aside the fact that his intention is to subjugate under his unconstitutional Czar-strewn control all of American business, and every aspect of each Americans daily life from waking in the morning to sleeping each night. Putting aside for now Obamas total rejection of the lawful constraints placed upon the Presidency by our Founding documents, and his intentional deafness to the growing roar of outrage from a majority of the American public over his Marxist bull-in-a-china-shop bullying-thug tactics.
According to OReilly, Barrack is basically a decent guy. Phew! Thank you Bildo! For a minute there, I was about to become concerned.
I understand OReillys actual goal here, by the way. It is not to deceive; the deception is just an unfortunate necessity in achieving his real goal: Viwership. Popularity. Profit. That, in and of itself, while disgusting, is not as damning as is the actual result of his dissembling on Oboneheads perfidy. The tragic result is a large, gullible swath of the trained-seal public not recognizing the totalitarian banana republic Obunga would have them trade their free and mighty America for.
That OReilly would play fast and loose with what he knows to be the truth about Oblamebush in pursuit of appealing to the widest possible viewer demographic is the exact same type of cynical selling-out that Obongo himself is guilty of daily. And Bildo knows this. Hes willing to throw us, and our country, under the wheels of the coming Commie machine for nothing more than ratings and profit.
His infatuation with himself nearly rivals Obamas, not an easy feat. It is what justifies (in his mind) lying about Obunga while feigning being merely even-handed and fair. And that makes him worse than dishonest, it makes him dangerous, and a traitor to America.
If OReilly were really honest, and had he even a shred of decency, he would start his show with this warning; Caution! You are about to enter the No Spine Zone.
Pinch me. Please. WTF!?
Yes, he is dangerous and self-absorbed. But we now know, he's also insane.
Ted Baxter, Snort!
O’Reilly is the next Larry King.
‘No spin’ - my eye...
nice vocabulary there Gargantua! :-).
It’s the loofas and falafals that has spun the pinhead.
O’Reilly and Hussein have one thing in common...breathtaking arrogance and self-importance. TWO things...TWO things in common...
BOR has no idea what the hell he is doing. Fox needs to fire him. They won’t because of his ratings.
ROFLMFWAO!! (rolling on floor laughing my fat white ass off!)
;-/
If FOX would shake up the time slots and give Beck a prime time, BillO’s arrogance would necessarily subside, somewhat.
Wow.. what an insult to Ted Baxter.
Wow.. what an insult to Ted Baxter.
I had a teacher who taught using the D.O.T. paradigm.
First you must DO It.
The you Must OBSERVE IT..
Then you can TEACH IT.
A History teacher should recognize when history is being revised, to wit a socialist means of "controlling the masses." He doesn't see that!
Maybe he needs to read "Das Kapital", the writings of Lenin and the Stalinist activites!
NO wait, three things in common, breathtaking arrogance and self-importance, and a glaring ignorance of the facts. NO wait, four things in common, breathtaking arrogance and self-importance, and a glaring ignorance of the facts and nobody to challenge them. NO wait...
He spins so much I need Dramamine when I Surf over the channel to get Fox Business Channel at 8pm
Love that sentence --
At least Glenn Beck reads books.
Great analysis, and right on the money.
BOR is either highly effective at self-deception or as big a liar as any politician that’s ever stepped up to a podium. He and only he decides what is “bogus” and who is a “stand up guy” following rules that benefit his self-interest. But by doing business under the umbrella of “no spin” - he actually has built a sizable following of people who think he is objective and unbiased across the board. Regardless of whether you agree or like him, he is impacting the way political commentary is done on TV in the same way Rush did for talk radio.
And if you just came up with the phrase “No Spine Zone”, you need to trademark it pronto. That is a money quote if I ever heard one.
"_______ It! We'll do it live"
On this, as well as other extremely relevant issues, O'Reilly protects Obama and will NOT make that assertion.
