MSNBCs David Shuster became a fan of Fox News late-night comedy/news hybrid Red Eye just in time for its three-year anniversary.
And its coming at a time when the 3am ET show is seeing big ratings in the A25-54 demographic even topping CNN prime time last week.
Just like when we highlighted the shows ratings in September 2009 (which the FNC advertising department enjoyed as well, taking out full-page ads in the New York Post and others), the ratings for last week show Red Eye beating CNN again. This time, the show had better ratings in the A25-54 demographic than Campbell Brown at 8pmET and Larry King at 9pmET, and tied Anderson Cooper at 10pmET.
For Fridays third-anniversary show, there was a look back at the past few years, including the second episode which was fairly raw. And featured an unkempt, pre-Big-Everything Andrew Breitbart.
I want to thank our awesomely awesome fans for watching and supporting us over the last three years, said Gutfeld. And if you didnt support us, youre worse than Media Matters.
Heres the Greg-alogue from Friday night, featuring David Gregorys hair, a lot of cat jokes aimed at Andy Levy and insults aimed at Bill Schulz. And more robots:

OMG. They get better ratings at 3AM EST than CNN does in prime time. That is crazy.
It is a strange show, yet I laugh.
red eye is a pretty good show. To be honest, they should move it to around 12 midnight
Its screwy but I love it and watch it every night. The guest are always interesting.
I’m glad for Fox, but personally, I don’t like the show that much. Too silly or something, tried to watch it, but didn’t enjoy it.
I really love watching that show. It has some pretty twisted humor that you don’t often see.
I can’t watch it when Ann Coulter is a guest. She laughs at everything that is said. It gets annoying after a while.
Except for that monster alien/rock guy.
When I watch that show I wonder if I’m just getting old and just don’t get the joke or if I’m like the little kid at he parade who asks why the emperor wears no clothes...
I love Pinch Sulzberger, the arrogant nitwit Publisher of the NY Times:
... and SE Cupp, mmm, mmmm, mmmm!
the weirdest thing is my 15 yo said that her environment sci teacher [private school and the teacher is a 20 something young woman who has a prolife license plate on her car] showed them some segment from RED EYE to counterbalance the AlGore inconvenience. i was amazed!
“Red Eye” is the best show on TV that almost no one has seen or even heard of.
I “Tivo” it sometimes and other times, I’ll stay up late and watch it as it comes on at Midnight here on the West Coast.
If you haven’t seen it, check it out.
You won’t be disappointed.
Here is my own “robot-theater” cartoon I made last week in honor of FreeRepublic. Red-eye dosen’t own the cartoon software they use to make their funny stuff. Anybody can go to xtranormal.com and open an account and make fun cartoons.

I registered but the conformation email has not arrived. Did it take awhile for your conformation?
Get the lotion. Boo Ya!
Lol, I'm with you on that. I've told my hubby it is a hybrid of a panel discussion show and improv.
I love Red Eye. The banter between Greg and Bill is hilarious.
