What a silly headline. Ten days in a "city" of 650,000, 11 drunks doesn't strike me as very many. To the author, they were hunting, of course they were armed, moron. So are lots of the drunks in Chicago or Milwaukee. I'm sure there are no drunks in Minneapolis.

Once while hunting on a friends property in southwest Wisconsin I happened upon a 'hunter' who was passed out cold at the base of a tree.

I shook him a couple of times with no result.

Resting in his arms was a very nice Weatherby rifle. I picked it up and inspected the chamber to find out it was loaded and the safety was in the "Off" position.

I carefully unloaded the weapon and tried to wake Sleeping Beauty again. When I couldn't I placed the barrel of the rifle carefully in a crook of the tree, grabbed the stock, and bent that sucker as far as I could.

I put the rifle on the ground next to the idiot and called it a day.
