I'm having to help a cousin (an older lady who just got a Windows laptop for a present) set up and maintain her computer.
I'm a Mac guy and I hate Windows... LOL... but I'll help out relatives when they need help. It's the latest operating system from Microsoft (since it's a brand new computer). About two years ago, I helped another cousin set up and maintain a Windows Vista computer...
It sure makes me very, very appreciative of the Mac OS X system and Apple's computers. They're wonderful in comparison.... :-)
But, I'll be interested in finding out about this malady for Windows, as I'll probably have to help her there, too (in order to prevent something going wrong there) -- but at least I don't have to worry about my Macintosh computer that way...
Personally like the idea to block BIOS access without physical access to system. Makes life miserable for network admins, but is good practice.
In reality, the best BIOS virii are written by government agencies who must not be named, both ours and the bad guys’ agencies.
I just drive to the store and buy what I need with cash. Same with banking. My bankers know what I look like....and know my name..
I believe the United States Government is creating these BIOS viruses to destroy older equipment harder to exploit!
I have the same problem. My mouse freezes. It is a bios virus that affects the motherboard. I have first come into contact with this back about this time a year ago. I thought it was something else. My mouse cursor would freeze to one side or the other of the desktop and I would be unable to use the mouse. I thought it was memory sticks, virusues, corrupted operating systems, etc.. I did all the steps needed in every circumstance.
Sometimes the keyboard, but always the mouse would be unusuable. The cursor could go up and down as I could see it moving with my input up or down, but that was it. The problem is it is on three machines and they are all different machines. They are older machines being around 2001 to 2005. I have been observing the phenomenon for a year now and nothing in retail stores works, my training doesn’t work. But my training has finally narrowed it down.
I known since 2004 that the government has had me under surveillance. I first discovered some type of device on my telephone line back at the end of 2004. I don’t know why the government would watch me. Maybe comments made about George Bush in a chat room...maybe the fact I was in the navy and top secret clearance when I was a kid. I am not really sure. Maybe high I.Q.?
I had somebody type something to me one time when I was using a public computer at a college in late 2008 or early 2009. I forget whether I was sending a resume or sending one off, but this window opened and the person said;”if you weren’t lying this wouldn’t happen”...or something along those lines. It kinda blew me away. These people were watching me use a public computer. Probably knew it was me when I logged into my yahoo mail and then instituted their computer surveillance towards that computer and that subnet.
They knew where I was and the subnet I was coming off of. Be patient, I will tell you of my theory about BIOS viruses. I believe the government has created them to damage older equipment that can’t exploited because pre-2005 equipment doesn’t have the loopholes designed into it be exploited.
I know that these things aren’t my imagination. I have advanced electronics training both in the navy and civilian. I have years of training in information technology and computer science.
I have had numerous agencies of the US government hack into my computer. I discovered this by using various software to traceout suspicious IP addresses that I kept getting attacked from. I traced out the IPs and they would come back to DOD, pentagon, Dept. Mil., Dept. of The Navy,..Army, Mercedes Benz,etc....even a command post at Riyhad Saudi Arabia.
Hell...I am nobody. I never did anything or hurt anybody. I also have a Bible ministry site I created and have had the web pages completely deleted, webhosting accounts locked out several times. Anybody that knows anything about the Bible knows that the Bible doesn’t pull punches. The Bible isn’t politically correct.
I would presume to say that the United States Government is probably behind a lot of this damage that I have heard people describe on this forum and others. Lot of these people on these forums have high level expertise and the government wants to hinder them and their productivity.
If the govt. is watching me, you can bet they are watching many others also. I am unable to make a living and my Christian minsitry has been affected. I have no alternative no but to post on blogs and talk to as many people and contact as many people as I can.
I believe from my past experiences which I have only touched on, are caused by the government. What are the chances that 3 different machines are going to go down with the same exact behavior? I have had machines sitting in closets that I used last year with no problem. I know they had nothing wrong with them...PERIOD!
The virus code for the BIOS virus/CODE flips back and forth from parts of the hard drive to memory on the motherboard and bios. If you take an infected hard drive(even one that has been wiped clean several times) and install it into another computer,you are going to infect the bios on that computer as well. I have also discovered Linux based operating systems installed on usused sectors of various hard drives. The unused sectors would be encrypted as to prevent them from being wiped. So I can be on my computer on the web/internet connection while “satan/gov’t” would be on his operating system on my computer doing what he does. I have wondered why I was never able to regain the full 120 gig capacity, 60 gig capacity, 250 Gig capacity or whater capacity of the hard drive as when I first got them.
I have lost three computers because of the BIOS viruses. I have noticed that this BIOS virus doesn’t infect a newer model machine built in 2009. I know that motherboards built after 2005, have some type of backdoor that is purposely designed by the manufacturer that allows the government to get into your computer and you can’t stop it. Microsoft also designs their software with backdoors that most people don’t know about.
Also the backdoors in Microsoft Windows works hand and hand with the backdoor in the motherboards built after 2005. The BIOS virus knocked out three pre-2005 motherboards 2005. I believe this BIOS virus was designed intentionally for this. The older equipment was harder to access than the new machine I have now.The government doesn’t want people using the older machines. They are purposely damaging them so you have to buy a new one that are easier to exploit and gain access over them to spy on Americans.
I can tell you all kinds of horror stories about cell phones and PDAs I have had as well. I never thought the United States would get like this. But the USA is getting communistic. I don’t care if they read this. I haven’t got one call off my website and it is a top rated site in Kansas City. I don’t give a fuck if they kill me. If I can’t make a living then I am dead already. Might as well be dead.
