I had a roommate in College who had stuff by Malmsteen. He was apparently classically trained, then transferred those skills to electric guitar.

She’s also a talented artist; the background on her homepage is one of her pencil drawings. The amazing thing is that she’s a rare conservative musician/artist, although politics are not part of her show.
