I had a chance to bend some politicians ears last night at a GOP Christmas party. For your amusement, here are some of the best:
1. Congressman says you can’t understand these bills. Ask the legal aides to explain. (Huh, and what EXACTLY do you do?)
2. State rep can’t get traction in state legislature for a 10th Amendment resolution, because it is too conservative. Gee, that makes this state to the left of MA.
3. Local politico and state rep didn’t know that our state constitution is the ONLY one that does not say that all power comes from the people.
And you wonder why Delaware keeps electing Biden?
U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell retorts: "Here's the most outrageous part: at the end of this rush (to get the bill passed), they (Dems) want us to vote on a bill that no one outside the Majority Leader's conference room has even seen."
