Woods and wife 'to separate after Christmas'

Tiger Woods' wife Elin will separate from the golfing superstar after Christmas, a UK tabloid has claimed.

Quoting an unnamed close friend of Elin, the News of the World newspaper said the 29-year-old former Swedish model plans to return to Sweden and was in talks with divorce lawyers.

But she would spend Christmas with her golfing husband for the sake of their two children, it was reported.

"In the short-term they'll act like any other loving couple," the newspaper quoted the friend as saying.

"Elin won't break it all up right away. But she does need some time alone to herself and a legal separation will happen very quickly."

The couple have two children, one aged two and the other 10 months old.

Woods’ public image has taken a battering over the past two weeks, with claims he has had 12 mistresses during his five-year marriage to Elin and has spent $65,000 on prostitutes.

Just yesterday Woods’ main sponsor Gillette said it would be "limiting" the role of one of the world’s richest sportsman.

In a statement last Friday Woods admitted he had been unfaithful and said he was taking an indefinite break from golf to focus on his family.

Meanwhile one of Tiger Woods' mistresses, Jamie Jungers, had told how she had sex with him on the night his father died.

Jungers said she had waited for Woods at his home while he went to visit his father in a hospice in May, 2006.

I hope Tiger and Elin separate for a while, allowing breathing room for counseling and possible reconciliation between the couple. A divorce is the last thing they want.

Indeed. Sure, Tiger’s wealth (putting aside his marriage status) gives him access to women more attractive than what he would normally get otherwise, but the trade-off for a man in that position is dealing with acquisitive, lazy whores who only want you for your money.

At least “groupies” don’t necessarily want anything than the rush of being around you, not your money.

This is outright fraud.

He clearly never intended to live life as a married man.
He never should have brought a woman into this trap of his.

In our catholic tradition this is a clearcut case for annulment - mostly based on fraud with alot of cruelty heaped on top of it.
