Just wanted to give a heads-up that my son (who put his resume on Monsterjobs.com awhile back) got a phone call yesterday from an ACORN rep asking if he was interested in becoming a 2010 census-taker - that training was to begin next week and pay would be $10/hour. He/we live in Pittsburgh, PA.<>
So did ZERO REALLY remove ACORN from doing the census or is it more smoker and mirrors?
Well, you can be 100% sure that ACORN people will be doing that. Sure, ACORN name has been removed from official sites, but the actual people are still doing it. They have always been working under several names, sharing office space and mail box with tons of different organizations.
Do we have the right to not answer questions concerning the census if the person who comes to our door is an ACORN employee?
The the fact that the person is from ACORN is irrelevant.
Anyway, I assume (not a legal advice) that nobody has to answer questions when somebody shows up at your house. Freedom of speech covers silence, I assume.
I will simply tell them : “Git!”
I would not want anyone in my family being a census taker.
They will be considered ACORN by most Americans.
PASS THE WORD---HERE'S WHAT TO DO: Have pad and pencil ready. Before ACORN attempts to get your census info, you get their name, ID number, name of their immediate supervisor and location of their employment. Tell them you are reporting this to L/E and are storing copies with your lawyer. A Flip is good to have here----catch 'em in the act---videotape them. They HATE that, and can’t do a thing about it -IT’S YOUR PROPERTY.

ACORN'S potential for wrongdoing is breathtaking. ID theft is a distinct possibilty. When ACORN shows up on your property to do the census, assert that you don’t want anyone involved in criminal activities to be anywhere near you. And that you are concerned YOUR census form will be falsified.
If you discover false census documents were filed in your name, that would incur felony charges: Falsifying official documents incurs felony charges for 1st-degree tampering with public records, 1st-degree offering of a false instrument for filing, 4th-degree grand larceny, and 1st-degree falsifying of official records. If ACORN gives out false info---they could be charged with aiding and abetting a felony.
Most frightening is the WH colluding with ACORN to control the census----getting its hands on strategic info to be used for political purposes. The calculated Rahm Emanuel is manipulating the census using replies to build a permanent Dem majority. ACORN census takers will cook the books and enshrine illegal hyphanates as the "new majority" (a political goal of the Obamatons).
