.................Tell us one thing you like about Mitt.
....................

He has been an incredible executive. Nothing more, nothing less!

Zer0 - he’s never even ran a lemonaid stand; has never had any job where someone actually reported to him; is a radical socialist/communist!

Zero will have at least 50% of the 2012 vote! Pubbies will fight for the rest.

The future of our country is not about abortion, gun rights, free speech, conservatives vs progressives!

It’s about evil socialism versus capitalism.

The rest comes with the territory!

Who is our best hope to restore capitalism, while capturing more than 50% of the vote??

Don’t write off Romney three years before the vote! Don’t count on Sarah, or anyone else three years before the vote!

FR, don’t take intractable sides three years before the vote!

Okay. You got your talking points in.

What exactly did he do that would compel you to declare him an "incredible executive"?

What did he do on the health care front, for instance, that would qualify him as a Conservative?

By this reasoning, apparently nobody.

I think you need to calm down. Then, after you've done that, let's see something with some substance - something that will convince the conservatives that currently find him unacceptable. Until we've done that, he's in the same boat as he was in the last primaries.

And only then, can we start promoting him as being someone who can "capture more than 50% of the vote".

So far, I know of only one candidate from last time around who generated true excitement among conservatives. Hopefully she will run. I grant there could be others (the Marxist-in-Chief was hardly on the map by this point in '05).

I went and re-read your post. I think we found a discussion point:

It’s about evil socialism versus capitalism.

How is RomneyCare about capitalism instead of 'evil socialism'? Discuss.

"FR, don’t take intractable sides three years before the vote!"

We face an intractable foe.

As Ayn Rand said (through one of her characters) - "In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that can profit."

(And Sock Puppets, be they posters on FR or opportunistic politicians, can compromise all they want.)

I couldn't disagree more. The 2nd amendment, ie "gun rights", is about the only buttress we have left against losing what remains of our freedom.

Why should we trade away every other conservative issue to get a candidate who is slightly less socialist than obama?

The best you can say about Mitt is that he's an incredible executive? Are you sure your not from DU?
