In March of this year I was anesthetized during a medical procedure. Or almost. I was completely paralyzed but fully aware of what was going on. My eyes were closed and it was impossible for me to open them but I could hear and feel what was happening. This lasted for just a few minutes but it was one of the most horrible experiences of my life. I can’t imagine how one could keep their sanity after a few days of it, let alone 23 years!! How terrible!
That kind of happened to me. I woke up during my knee surgery, but I opened my eyes and looked around. The nurses realized that I was awake and they put me out again.
