Actually, the current gvt in China has completely covered up Mao’s evil and disastrous governance and remade him a hero. I’m not sure the current generation of Chinese know much about Mao that is real. Nor does “communism” have any remaining meaning there. “Communism” is whaever the current regime does, even though it resembles fascism much more than communism today.
I know it’s a cultural mix, but one more syllable and you would have a Haiku poem.
It's increasingly clear that most of the world views Obama as a light wight and a joke. This is dangerous for us.

Not sure if you watched the “Town Meeting,” but Obama kept referring to the Chinese university students as “boys” and “girls.” This man has absolutely no class, grace, or social skills.
Unbelievable.

This is simply not true. In fact, the government has tried to move away from the “cult of Mao.” As an instructor in one of the bigger universities in China, I find that the majority of my students do not think much of or about Mao. Most realize the bad things he did because their parents took the brunt of his evil during the Cultural Revolution. If anything, the government would love to sweep Mao under the rug and forget he ever existed - they are painfully aware of the evil he did to the Chinese people.
I was once invited to judge a strange contest where the many of my students were involved in a question and answer session concerning communist political topics. Believe I am the only Westerner ever to have attended such an event. All the students were bored out of their minds and the only thing that kept it interesting was that they were using about 50% English and 50% Chinese. I could not really read the answers on the slides but got well over 80% of them right simply by picking the longest answer.
China, at least in Sichuan, is not what most American or Westerners believe it to be. The truth is what these students are told to pursue and most are doing a pretty good job of being “international college students.”
Mao simply is no longer part of the equation on this university campus.
These chinamen are weird people...
