My exact thought expressed on another thread:
If this administration had any class or common sense at all, they’d immediately issue a statement congratulating Brazil on its excellent presentation and the IOC on its momentous decision to award the Olympics to a South American country for the first time ever. This would take a lot of the “obozo lost!” heat off of them, but, no - they are indeed a bunch of loser crybabies. Who is advising these idiots?

If this administration had any class or common sense, they wouldn't have inserted themselves into the process at all.
