If this administration had any class or common sense at all, they’d immediately issue a statement congratulating Brazil on its excellent presentation and the IOC on its momentous decision to award the Olympics to a South American country for the first time ever. This would take a lot of the “obozo lost!” heat off of them, but, no - they are indeed a bunch of loser crybabies. Who is advising these idiots?

Barry was arrogant and naive to get involved in this in the first place. It wasn't that long ago the U.S. hosted a summer Olympics. IIRC, the Summer games have never been held in the Southern Hemisphere outside the British Commonwealth, certainly never in South America. Rio is a beautiful and sophisticated city (OK, it has some rough areas just like any city). This really isn't unexpected, unless you have an ego the size of Barry's.
