If it were not for the egotistical iAttitudes of the iSnobs, Apple might actually end up with a larger market share.

When I think of Apple, I think of liberal DemocRats with their condescending "we are so much better than you" view of the masses.

Nomex suit in place. Let the iFlames from the iSnobs begin.

Or maybe the pro-Windows contingent will show up to shower you with praise for having the guts to stand up to the “fanbois”. You never know what you are going to get. Actually, I can almost guarantee the pro-Windows boys will be here to trash Mac. If we get to 30 posts without a “Macs are gay” post I will be amazed.

The above statement is a simple case of projection. The reason Apple has had a smaller market share is because in the early days of personal computers Gates-based OS computers sold for half to 1/3 the price of Apple. First time computer purchasers thought (and were told by sales personnel), "Hey, for the price of an Apple computer, I can get a computer and a whole lot of software" and made their choice. Most of them, over the succeeding decades, thought that all the trouble they had to put up with was just the way things were in the world of personal computers. That and being told that they were using "real" computers and that having to troubleshoot so often would make them far better computer users. Some of them, though, are starting to see that they were penny wise but pound foolish in their original choices (of course, stinkers like Vista helped many to see the light).

I’m not much on the gushing fangirls for Apple. I would have said boys but the whole Iwhatever thing is slightly effeminate.

Its for the high end people who cant/wont try to figure something out that bugs them or doesn’t work correctly. They pay money for something they expect to be at a minimum satisfactory and always, consistently work well and the same each time they try something. I cant argue that reasoning - I just have a aversion to all things Apple - trying to use that stuff is like a pee shiver - you know what I mean!

Hey - its great if you like it but don’t talk to me about it - I make things happen the way I want them to - I don’t hope or for some of the fangirls pray that Apple makes it the way I want it to be.

‘When I think of Apple, I think of liberal DemocRats with their condescending “we are so much better than you” view of the masses.’

You should be thinking of Rush Limbaugh and the rest of we conservatives who use them (someone posted a list a while back and there were quite a few).

Seems you have some issues, I’d try and separate the technology from the advertising/emotion. Macs in particular have been much easier to deal with in my experience. The combination of top-notch hardware and standards based software is really good. The (free) software development environment is also quite nice.

You can even run Windows in a safe sandbox (walled off from the rest of the system) if you have that need.

I have an iPod and will be getting an iPhone when my current Sprint contract runs out, but I cannot stand Macs. I have to use one at work, and it drives me crazy! Besides, I can play way more games on my PC than you can on any Mac.

Mc proponents argue that that Apple doesn't want a larger market share. They are like Mercedes Benz, except a computer and a car are totally different things and no one is really impressed by the logo on your laptop.

It's a better product than Windows, but it's not four or five times better.

And let's not forget Hollywood's love affair with Mac's. Nearly 99% of all personal computers on some sort of show or in some sort of movie are Mac's, and if the person owning the computer is the hip, savvy, intelligent, wise and all-knowing liberal, it is 100% Mac, 100% of the time.

I don't buy Macs because of product placement in the entertainment world.

But that's just me.

And when I see ordure like this from wazoos like you who get bent just because someone choses to use a computing OS platform that's not the same one they use - I say get a friggin' life. You're a Bill Gates butt-boy and every bit the snob you accuse Apple users of being and an arogant putz to boot.

ps: I'm a user of BOTH apple and Windows. When I want to use a computer that just works, without a lot of pissing around with it, I use my Macbook Pro. I use the Windows stuff because I have to at work.

Me too - right after I force myself to push out all the free lip time Rush Limbaugh has given Apple over the years, considering that he is a high-profile Apple fan. That and the fact that I sit here typing on my 5 year-old PowerMac G5 dual 1.8Ghz and getting ready to go to bed.

Limbaugh swears by Macs.

Elitist, yes; in many ways.

Liberal, no.

I adore my Mac, even though at the moment I'm on an XP box.

But my first love is

Cheers!

Come on, we're not all maniacal fanatics pushing a demented religion. I've neve personally beheaded any Windows users, though at times I've felt like it.

But actually, I will honor and respect the existence of Windows as long as I run my personal IT business. If everybody used Macs, I would be out of work.
