If I were the kid, I might sue my parents for not ensuring that the food I was served was safe. Intra-family tort immunity would probably preclude such a lawsuit. But the threat of some kind of child endangerment charge might get the folks to cough up some mula to make it go away. I think the attorney has a conflict of interest if the parents hired him, since he might have to assert a claim against the parents. Hmmm. Sure makes one think ...
