'I never wear sunscreen', says former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson as she reveals her ageing face

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER 09th September 2009

Pamela Anderson cut a still enviable figure in a tiny yellow bikini as she and her boyfriend surfer Jamie Padgett enjoyed a day on the beach.

And in the most unforgiving of bikinis she looked much younger than her 42-years...when seen from behind that is.

But the same could not be said when she revealed her tired, lined face and it seems that she only has herself to blame. [Pic in URL]

The 42-year-old revealed that she has no skincare routine - and amazingly never wears sunscreen, despite living in the Malibu sunshine.

Shame about the face: Pamela Anderson enjoyed a day at Malibu Beach, but revealed she neglected to protect her skin from the sun

The star and her live-in lover Jamie Padgett, headed to California's Malibu Beach, along with many others, for the American Labor Day public holiday.

Padgett, is a surfer and electrician who is said to have first charmed the star this January by offering her a lift to the beach in his golf buggy.

Pamela went for maximum exposure in a Brazilian style bikini which barely covered her bottom.

But when she turned around, it's clear that her failure to use any kind of sun protection is having an ageing effect on her once youthful skin.

When viewed from behind, Pammy could easily pass for a much younger woman, but the fair-skinned actress showed signs of sun damage on her ageing face.

“Beauty is a funny thing. I bet if Pam was standing next to Michael Moore who was in a bikini, Pam’s ragged looks would become more appealing.”

I think a warthog in that situation, would look more appealing.

So why do people seem to be shocked when icons age and get ugly? I got an email recently about male movie stars, then and now. UGH!

I am 69 and I still look like I did when I was 25...... NOT!

It doesn't shock me...people get old, it's a fact of life. Some age gracefully with no plastic surgery (Paul Newman) and others just destroy themselves attempting to recapture their youth (Joan Rivers, Michael Jackson, etc.)

That's Hollywood for you...

no eyebrows..too many tats...lip collagen

she was so cute as a kid in Playboy without all that 20 something years ago

I still remember she did that hood of the car thing like the Whitesnake vid..sorta..and cut off blue jean short shorts

there are plenty of women older than her that look far better..i’m married to one as are a fair number of guys here I’d wager...given our exquisite taste as a rule

One can still look GREAT at 42. With her money and resources she should look MUCH better than she does.

A tan is not an indicator of good health. Rather, it is an indicator that the body is trying to protect itself from the sun.

White people should avoid the sun. The vitamin D argument doesn't cut it. The amount of exposure your body needs to absorb vitamin D is less than the time it takes to tan. Parking at the end of parking lots and walking will not only help avoid getting your car dinged, you'll get some opportunistic exercise and vitamin D.

Oh I am sooo wearing sunscreen from now on. My goodness.

i highly recommend it along with sunglasses... i did the tanning thing during my young days even into my mid-20s... somewhere in my 30's i started seeing signs of aging and quickly started taking better care of my skin... using sunscreen, alpha hydroxy acids and some form of vitamin A... much of the damage has been reversed... my skin is nice and smooth at 44...
