Three in four parents are risking their child's eyesight by exposing them to bright sun without appropriate protection, experts warn.
Nearly a third of parents in Britain do not buy their children sunglasses, a poll of 2,000 people for the College of Optometrists revealed.
Of those who do, nearly half put price before protection and only a quarter buy sunglasses from a trusted brand.
The College recommends choosing dark glasses with a CE mark for quality.

Goodness, I never owned sunglasses until I was an adult. I must be blind by now!

Having been to England a few times, I can honestly say it’s the last place I would worry about excess solar radiation.

OMG I’ll bet they’re eating big macs too. I’ll even bet some of those criminal parents are letting their kids ride in the back of pick ups too.

Western civilization truly is doomed with pansies like this in charge.

My son used to have sunglasses when he was little. They were cute. When he got older, he settled for a visor. That's usually good enough, although there are times I tell him he might want them for the morning car ride, but he usually just goes back to sleep instead.
I think there's a connection with fair skin and sensitivity to bright sunlight. At least, that explains him and me.

OK, nice obscure 80's save. Might've been a little less obscure if you'd have used Crockett and Tubbs, tho.

Most of their parents have been wearing them for years to avoid having to do anything about Islam taking over their country.

I have been wearing sunglasses religiously ever since the link between UV light exposure and cataracts was made years ago. The females in my family have been prone to getting cataracts and I’m trying not to follow the tradition!
