LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Rachael Ray has undergone surgery to correct a problem with her vocal cords, according to People.
A rep for the talk show host and all-around foodie said she had surgery last week.
After several months of vocal therapy and on the advice of her doctors, Rachael decided to have a benign cyst removed from her vocal cord, rep Charlie Dougiello told People, which first reported the news.
Dougiello said Rachael is taking it easy following the surgery.
According to Rachaels doctors the minor, non-invasive procedure was a success and she is already resting at home, he added.
The chatty host of the Rachael Ray Show, who turns 41 next month, however, now has to keep quiet as she recovers.
The hardest part for Rachael is going to be giving her voice a rest for the next week or so, her rep told the mag.

Why you hatin’ on Paula Dean? She’s never boring. We have to take a drink every time she says “ya’ll”
I hope they don’t mess up her voice.
(This is sort of like when Steve Buscemi got in a fistfight a few years back and I said, “Boy, I hope they didn’t mess up his face.”)
I actually find her to be pretty cute.
Couldn’t stand her voice before hope this will improve with her surgery. Like nails on a chalkboard and I’ve seen better cooking at an AppleBees...LOL But I wish her a quick recovery and good health. I love Paula Deen she’s awesome Ya’ll!! LOL
Rach, I really think to protect your voice a good 5 years of silence would be prudent. One cannot be too careful!
Little too much EVOO?
Yeah, I think she is pretty hot actually. Especially walking away.
I like Rachel. I guess. Oh well, as long as Giada doesn’t go in for breast reduction surgery...
so do I and a very happy appearing person and there is nothing wrong with that either.
LMAO!!!! Then I would put you under the table if you were around me!
oh my!!! gotta go....I’ll be back in 10 minutes...
RR grates on one after a while. I received one of her cookbooks as a gift, the editing was awful, lots of errors.
