Noted Chicagoan and basketballophile Barack Obama appears to be writing off the California vote in 2012, at least the basketball fans around Los Angeles. In a pre-holiday interview with the Associated Press, Obama was asked who was the better player -- six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan or four-time champion Kobe Bryant? Without even a moment's hesitation, the ex-senator from Illinois blurted out, "Oh, Michael!" Then, apparently realizing what he'd just said and the profound impact on any 2012 election, the new president hastened to add: "I mean, Kobe's terrific. Don't get me wrong. But I haven't seen anybody match up with Jordan yet." Too late. Obama correctly picked the Los Angeles Lakers to thump the Orlando whatevers in the NBA Finals this year. And he was also right in picking North Carolina to win the NCAA championship this spring. But then he also picked tax delinquent Tom Daschle as secretary of Health and Human Services. Now, we'll see how the left-handed White Sox fan does on the mound at the upcoming All-Star Game in St. Louis.

When you name all-time greats, it’s hard to actually pick the greatest because you really should also consider NBA Championship rings won.
Also with Magic, Jordan and Kobe, the greats include Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, “Big Game” James Worthy, Shaquille O’Neil, Byron Scott, “Dr. J” Julius Irving, and Sasha Vujacic.
I could just keep going here naming the legends.
As far as guilty, if you are famous, have money and people still know you, you get off with most juries.

You can’t change the rules after game starts.
Suppose celebrity Republicans Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was born in Austria and singer Gloria Estefan, who was born in Cuba, chose to run for President.
They would be prevented from doing so since per Article 2, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution, one must be a natural born citizen of the United States to hold office as President. Their births in Austria and Cuba would not be considered natural born citizenship.
A case might be made that Barack Obama knew that he was not eligibile to serve as President since he’s probably not a natural born citizen. Consequently, he forged a “Certification of Live Birth” (COLB) and advertised it to the American people as authentic.
Dr. Ron Polarik analyzed Obama’s COLB and determined it to be a forgery. I firmly agree with him. The enclosed link provides Polarik’s article and displays the alleged forged document while pointing out altered numbers and discrepancies, etc.:

It is a felony to forge a government document and there could be a multitude of felony counts contained here against Obama.

We the American people have the right to know if our President is eligible to hold office. For many, Obama has not proven this requirement.
Obama, I ask, WHERE were you born in Hawaii? Prove it! Where is your original birth certificate? Where?
The authorities MUST enforce the Constitution and require Obama to prove that he is a natural born American citizen. Action on this case is past due! If the Constitution were not going to be enforced, Schwarzenegger or Estefan could have been on the Republican ticket in 2008. What law permits the Democrats special privileges?
In closing, our past Presidents have Birthplace Museums. Just to name a few, Ronald Reagan has a Birthplace Museum in Tampico, Illinois and Bill Clinton has a Birthplace Museum in Hope, Arkansas where they were born. Where will Barack Obama’s Birthplace Museum be located at? At the Coast Provincial General Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya?
I think Jordan owes much of his greatness to the man who showed everyone the impossible was actually possible; the basketball player who lit the way for everyone who followed; Julious Erving. He was MJ before MJ was MJ.

I would say that as competitors, Magic, Bird & MJ were all better than Kobe. Each was willing to do what was necessary to win, including changing their ‘game.’ Kobe is a multi-talented player and maybe just a hair’s breadth out of that tier.
What sticks in my craw about Kobe is the entire effort to ‘prove himself’ without Shaq. It was childish and really beneath him. I would also say that there is still time for Kobe to build on his legacy. The Lakers appear to be cementing their hold on the Western Conference. One day I may change my opinion on Kobe.
Think about it: once Jordan goes on a roll just about nobody can stop him. Who could forget during the 1990's when the Bulls would play the Knicks and once Jordan "went off" it was all over for the Knicks?
I never saw him play, but I’ve always felt that Oscar Robertson was the best all-around player in NBA history. It’s pretty rare to find that combination of scoring, passing and rebounding ability in one player.
