Very plausible, or he just accidentally took just too much when he thought he hadn’t. It often happens when soemone takes some sleeping pills, can’t sleep right away and decides to take more..then they all kick in.

the other thought I had which is very dark is that the promoters, ie people close to him, figured out the concerts would be a bomb, and deicded he was worth more to them dead.

I guess killing yourself is one way to reduce the number of concerts he had to preform. Little farther than Id go but hey to each his own.

The whole thing with the doctor (hired by the promotion company) is very strange, and the possible substances Jackson may have had in system that should not have been available to him. From a suspicious point of view, it would be awfully convenient for some to just chalk it up to “accidental suicide.”
