If it werent for the National Enquirers outstanding work on the John Edwards Baby Mama story, this new story would easy to laugh off. But nobodys laughing. Especially Barack Obama.
...
Lots of broken bottles next to the smashed dishes in the White House it seems...
It doesn’t matter if it’s the truth, the slander, if it is slander, is out there now.
That’s what the tabloids do, and this tabloid is connected to a former first lady.
A candid shot from her recent Paris trip...;)
ummm....what pressure?
Wouldn’t you?
.
“Does Michelle Obama Have A Drinking Problem?”
Married to HIM?? I hope so for her sake!
My first guess from seeing the condition of her eyes during the campaign is that she is on some serious anti-depressants.
He is the only thing going for her without her she would be absolutely nothing except another angry woman
The original story appeared in the Enquirer and it appears to be offline... the entire newspaper.
Technically, if it were not true, it could be libel rather than slander, as it is in writing.
More stories have been appearing, including one about her drinking while possibly pregnant - if that other rumor turns out to be true.

A mean drunk is a nasty animal.
Yes
“Does Michelle Obama Have A Drinking Problem?”
We have to consider the source here. As much as I detest the 0bama presidency, I don’t believe this particular story any more than I would the crap the Enquirer was throwing out about Sarah Palin having an affair. My default position is: if it’s from a tabloid, it’s crap.
...you mean we should expect BHO _not_ to drive her to drink?
Are you a friend of Bills?
It DOES matter if it is the truth. But it it not slander on the part of the Enquirer in any case. Slander is spoken, libel is written.
By definition, if it IS the truth, it is NOT libel.
And, if it is NOT the truth, then it IS libel.
But, the Obamessiah’s “pocket-media” can easily be geared up in just a few minutes to “lead” or “headline” with the real story for as long as it takes to make the “bad” story go away.
Of course, he could always get his lap-dog congress to pass legislation making it a federal crime to even THINK about any aspect of the 1st lady’s personal life.
How could drinking a little poss-ibly affect the way one dr-dr-dr-dresshes?
It’s the seriousness of the charge.
While this would explain a lot it would be awful. It would then basically put MO on the "do not touch" list. She would be untouchable by the media for sympathy and "privacy".
BTW, I would love to be able to attend one of her AA meetings....
