A Silverton teacher is facing charges for the alleged four-year sex abuse of a boy that began in 2002 when he was 13 years old.
Susan Christina Alderson, 46, a sixth-grade teacher at Robert Frost Elementary School in Silverton, was arrested Tuesday after a search warrant was served on her home in the 2100 block of Robins Lane Southeast in Salem.
Police believe Alderson maintained an ongoing sexual "relationship" with the now 19-year-old victim, who was not one of her students, said Lt. Steve Birr, criminal investigations section commander.

Yikes!!
guilty.
very very guilty.
Ya gotta remember that Silverton is only a short distance from Portland and they seem to condone such behavior. YIKES!
And....Does anyone know if this school would be considered one of the “good” government schools? It does seem that these school outrage stories most often are generated in what would be considered “good” schools.
Oh...And, before long some is going to claim that their child attends a “good” school and something like this would never happen there.
I bet she voted for Obama.
Guilty
It’s a MAN BayBEE
GUILTIER than seven levels of homemade mortal sin.
Saw the article and picture this morning and was wondering how long before some FReeper would have the courage to post the picture. She looks like a blind date for some poor unfortunate guy.
Damn...shes electric chair guilty.
Why did I click on this post =(. My eyes, my eyes!!!!
She probably campaigned for obambi.
Yeah, homeschooling it everything for everyone.
Come to think of it. All but one of the children of the mom you mentioned was too young to be schooling.
Also...Given your reasoning why not have government workers snatch children from their mother's arms in the delivery room. They could be raised in full-time government orphanages. Hey! Some moms get post partum depression and harm their children.
As for homeschooling:
Homeschooling is the most natural and healthy way to rear a child. Yes, some moms can't homeschool. That is too bad. These children will need to be institutionalized for their schooling. We need orphanages too, but no one is suggesting that this is the best for the child.
