Police in Massachusetts said a 31-year-old pregnant woman was miraculously unharmed after accidentally backing her car off the fourth story of a parking garage. Springfield Police Lt. Rupert Daniel said the woman, who was alone in her car at the time, accidentally put her Hyundai Sonata in reverse and drove off the fourth story of the downtown garage, plunging 40 feet to the sidewalk below, WWLP-TV, Springfield, reported Tuesday.
The woman was treated for minor injuries at Baystate Medical Center and released.
I’ll drive whatever she was driving but I’ll be careful not to take any 4 story plunges
I used to work across the street from this. Very funny (Of course, it wouldnt be funny if she were hurt.) Must have make quite a noise.
Manos de Dios
Car must be totaled.... its one of those things you’ll never forget as long as you live! ;-)
Once the car came to a rest he turned off the engine, opened the driver's side door, and crawled out alive and unhurt.
They put titanium alloy stays and braces all around the passenger compartment.
This does not surprise me at all ~ like us, she's going to be buying Hyundai's in the future!
Good thing she wasn’t in one of those Obama cars. She’d be a gone-pecan.
Any landing you can walk away from...
Had to have panicked and floored the gas, thinking she had her foot on the brake. No way just your average amount of pedal application would jump the parking bumpstop and crash through a wall.
Wow?!
People think of Korean cars as substandard, but every time I rent a car, I try to get a Hyundai. They are really impressive for their price points so you get a better cut of car for the rental price paid rather than trade “up” for more money to a name brand. The engines aren’t as silky as the better Japanese makes, but they’ll definitely challenge any prejudices you may have against them.
No car could claim this. Stop right there.
On second thought, are they so light they...
Know what you mean. I got a concussion from slamming my head with a refridgerator door, and had a friend who broke her foot with a chicken.
Oops...
What did the chicken do?
Fell out of the freezer. (I guess in chicken terms the fall was more than 4 stories.)
Perhaps she was saved by a pregnant pause.
And lest I forget, Praise The Lord for Mom and Baby's soft landing.
Bet the little tyke's 1st word is Whooooooaaaa!!!
