Papa Bear

My husband's cousin married a former Marine who now works for United Parcel Service. They bought their four-year-old son two stuffed bears -- one in a UPS uniform and the other in Marine garb. When the boy seemed confused, his father brought out a picture of himself in full Marine dress. "See, Connor?" he explained, pointing to the photo and then to the bear. "That's Daddy."

Connor's eyes went from one to the other, and then he asked in a puzzled voice, "You used to be a bear?"

Caturday Bliss





Though many consider it to be just another day to explore and play
We Kittens instinctively reserve some extra reverence for 'Caturday'
A day when Our Pretty One is not so busy and has some extra time on her hands
To do the things that we lovingly adore, yet do not understand

Like picking up clothes and emptying baskets to feed the shiny machines
Since the entire concept of wearing adornments is ridiculous and obscene
To a clutch of curious Kittens draped in silky fashion possessing magic powers
When curled up on Our Pretty One's lap and delicately stroked for hours

This whole 'Clothes Thing' is an enigma, though we love the end result
Of warm and gently folded things to relish, could this make us a cult
Of blatant sensualists when our desires are met with giggles and a delightful smile?
That satisfy our basic urge to cuddle close and snuggle for a while!
