These days, the media seems awash in reports of various elected officials and civil servants who are either in the business of raking in as much money as they can on the public dime, trying to score a vacated Senate seat (President Barack Obama’s, which was filled by one Roland Burris…read and listen to the transcript of his groveling and scheming to get the Senate seat HERE) or of municipal and state employees who are making obscene amounts of pay relative to their counterparts in the private sector (check out this chart of 2007 San Francisco city employee pay HERE).

I wish there was more source data for this info. Wondering if those are base salaries or is overtime and benefits included?

Just remember that our beloved president has a wife that work for a public hospital in a ‘community outreach position’ in that toddling town Chicago for the meager wage of $350,000 per year. This job was so important to the inner workings of that institution that they have decided to eliminate the position since she has moved to D.C.
Yeah, they’ll be living fat, dumb (hahaha!) and happy the rest of their lives. My guess is she’ll be the next one to be pushed for public office once the Big ‘O’ is out, just like Hillary.
