We have a little experiment going on here at my office, IE and Mozilla are equally lame on security. Personal habits regarding computer and internet use are a far larger factor in exposing oneself to risks. Just like in the real world.

Security Questions: Microsoft says they have the most secure browser ever, something we've heard from them before, but is that really the case? Yesterday, at CanSecWest's PWN2OWN contest-where hackers show off how quickly they can crack into a browser using previously unknown flaws-Internet Explorer 8 was one of the first browser's to go down after Apple's Safari.

So much for IE8 browser security. LOL!

E-can be many times superior and many times faster than any other browser but it is still Microsoft and would still have all the Microsoft gateways into my computer.When Microsoft advertised with the advent of XP that installing XP would give MSFT ownership rights to everything one has in one’s computer(recanted) and then repeated the claim with extra emphasis for Vista, I ceased to desire anything new from MSFT for my box. I will not “upgrade” my W2k to any other MSFT product and do not have any other MSFT programs on my box. I have terrible luck/skill with various forms of Linux so I am stuck with W2k for now but there will be nothing newer.

I have IE 8 and it crashes every time I use it, usually within 5 minutes of starting it. It is truly a piece of crap.

My hard disk crashed so I had it formatted and the latest xp reinstalled.

THE POINT: when I got it home ie kept crashing so I downloaded Foxfire 3.0.7 — everything is working fine.

I love it already and once I get the hang of all the nuances this is going to be cool, as they say.

Why didn’t I do this a long time ago !!!
