I Want Revenge is a horse on a mission. The son of Stephen Got Even has traveled across the country to get a head start on his compatriots back home. While they remain in California, content to scamper along on the synthetic surface, oblivious to the test that awaits them on May 2, I Want Revenge is willing to find out right now, once and for all, whether he will get hit by a dirt bomb or take to the loam like a kid to a sandbox.
If it turns out to be the latter and he can defeat a talented field in Saturdays Gotham Stakes (gr. III), or at least finish an exceptional second, he will rise up the Derby lists as quickly as the temperature of owner/breeder David Lanzman and trainer Jeff Mullins. Of course, their illness will be nothing more than an acute case of Derby fever that they hope will burst the thermometer.

Plenty of horses that are reluctant to load go on to win. He just didn't appear to be as good as this bunch. Certainly Einstein, on the turf at least, is a multiple Grade I winner. I don't think Cowboy Cal has similar credentials. He was put in a good position to win by JV, but he just didn't have it, today at least.

Oh yeah, didn’t mean to make excuses for my horse losing. Still, HATE to see my horse act like that at the gate.
Einstein is a class horse who can run on any surface. Nice win.
Sheesh, Champs Elysees paid 19.40 to place...Frankel horse with class.
Time to go to bed.
Stuff like that drives me crazy. The “why didn’t I see that in the Form?” question always rears its ugly head. Don’t let it disturb your sleep!
2 ran out.
Nicanor came in 2nd. lost to favorite by a length.
It's pretty amazing that you remember this!

Ha, just got lucky.
Actually, I remember it because I had the winner(Monba?) When you wrote you had CC, I went back to the form. Turf horse with speed. Wished I had used it to hit the exacta.
Did you see Buffalo signed owens.
I hope Edwards has a big supply of Maalox/Tums. He’ll need it.
Hard to avoid it. I really don't care about football though until after the Travers has been run.

I don’t understand.
