Regardless, I expect my government to serve the interests of US citizens first, foremost and always. Your being here already is one thing, but asking MORE immigrants to come here when we don't have enough jobs for the people who are already here is going to push some folks past the breaking point.
My apologies. I’m not calling you a Nazi. But there are many parallels to today. Such parallels can also be found post WWII Germany as well.
Yeah, I kept hearing about it from my friends so I decided to go and pick it up. Great book so far. Supplements quite a bit of what I know about WWII. Also, it’s adding to my understanding of how demented the ruling dictator of my home country was.
Do I want a revolution? No, not at all. But am I willing to accept being a second class citizen in my own damned country? No, not at all.
And with every passing day that sees more Americans losing their jobs and then losing those jobs to offshoring/outsourcing and THEN being told we have to compete with foreigners being imported to provide cheap labor and steal yet more of our jobs then the ranks of people saying what I say will grow.
I expect the politicians will sense the direction of the political wind and act to stop the immigration of more cheap labor in order to preserve jobs for their constituents.
If they fail in this they should be turned out.
If changing leadership STILL fails to protect the interests of Americans then things will get ugly. And the backlash has already started. Check the FR forums and see all the threads on states declaring sovereignty. The first baby steps to revolution have already started. If the government is wise it will heed these warnings and start acting in the interests of We the People before it's too late.
Excuse my liberty of correcting your statement. This is one American who was NEVER content with any such thing, and I'm married to another American who shares my view. We are also both Americans who have been unable to get regular work because of of those immigrants, legal and non.
One of the major drawbacks we are both finding is that we both speak proper, and unaccented, English.
Just remember, he's really only rightwing to those on the extreme left. Hitler was a Socialist through and through, warring with rival factions internally, allied with Stalin externally, at least until the paranoia, the sham psychics and the nutty astrologers went to his head. Go to the Propaganda Archive for prime examples of just how Socialist he, Goebbels, et. al. actually were.
Hitler gives nationalists a major black eye, but a whole cabal of internationalists get a pass, who were and are far more proficient murderers. Go figure. Who writes this crap? The left. That explains the incongruity and lack of logic in supposed historic accounts that rightfully condemn the one, and yet fail to condemn the other.
And so, we get dumbed down university graduates, who reflexively react in favor of "nationalism bad, internationalism good." It's infected right and left. Pernicious.
It appears to have infected you as well.
I say to hell with these groups that put the rights of convicts ahead of the victims.
And it’s not forced labor because they’re fed, clothed, and sheltered on the taxpayers dime..... They have to repay their debt to society afterall.
That’s exactly why prison work details are paid minimum wage to pick up garbage on the roadside in NC, 2CAVTrooper. A lawsuit, claiming that it was “forced labor.”
Honestly something like that should have been thrown out of court because a prison work crew is not forced labor.
Forced labor is compulsory labor exacted by a state or by agencies of a state, other than as a punishment for a criminal offence.
Picking up litter on the side of the road is part of their punishment and therefore not forced labor.
North Carolina needs to go back to court and have that ruling overturned.
