I heard today that a great young American motorcyclist, Racer, and "X game" Champion died after failing to complete a "Hart Attack" backflip in Costa Rica.
Video of the crash has been posted on YouTube
He has crashed in that (almost) exact same way several times before, without a severe injury.
Link to another, better, story on it.
You can only poke the bear so many times....
I offer prayers.
Agreed. These extreme sports are getting out of hand. These guys are doing thing that would have made Evel Knieval pucker up and go home. As the envelope keeps getting pushed, more and more people will die.
Very sad regardless. RIP.
I believe they said that about the Apollo program, too.
No, Ezra’s bro is Shane. He (Shane) got hurt badly a few years back, broke his neck, and Ezra semi retired for a while. He runs a MX school here in Ga. and does some selected racing (mostly Moto GP) nowadays.
I saw him and Emig, McGrath, and few other “old timers” (haha) last year Moto GP’n at Bainbridge. Lot’s o’ fun.
It’s funny to think of these kids as old timers.
Ricky Carmichael was just a kid, and now, he's retired already. We watch James Stewart and the new crew of riders, but are not following as closely as we used to. Probably because I'm more of an old fart now, so we don't get to the desert as often. But it's a great sport, requires tremendous courage, skill and athletic talent.
RIP, dude
If a picture is any indication he looks like a sweet guy.....died doing what he loved.....RIP
Amazing, isn’t it? Carmichael retired already. Stewart on top.
Jeremy Lusk grew up in S.D. and lived in Temecula of late.
Risk your life, pay the price.
RIP.
