WASHINGTON -Visiting one of his favorite Chicago restaurants in November, Barack Obama was asked by an excited waitress if he wanted the restaurant's special margarita made with the finest ingredients, straight up and shaken at the table. "You know that's the way I roll," Obama replied jokingly.

Wonder if he ever had a DUI?

It speaks more to my detriment than his credit, but the fact Obama is a smoker who likes fine liquors are about the only 2 things I don’t utterly despise him for

He is just emulating FDR and their Uncle Joe.

Does he even have a driver’s license? Cuz we damn sure know he doesn’t have a birth certificate.

It speaks more to my detriment than his credit, but the fact Obama is a smoker who likes fine liquors are about the only 2 things I dont utterly despise him for We FReepers can easily slip into a redefinition of BDS if we rage about every little thing he does, and make ourselves look as ridiculous as the DUmmies have over the last eight years.
Keep it substantive and on point. I see nothing in the OP that indicates that his food policy includes liquor (premium or otherwise) in his food policy. Just a story that he likes his margarita made with the best ingredients.
So do I dammit! I can afford it with money I earned, he can afford it with money he earned. When his food policy includes that provision, then I'll have a problem.

Elections matter, FReepers.
And I’ll be right here to remind you of this as you go off to vote in 2010 and then in 2012. :)
Again, ‘thanks’ and a ‘shout out’ to the disgruntled Republicans who sat on their hands in 2006 and 2008! ;)

For me, it's Familia Partida, fresh-squeezed lime juice, and Cointreau, in a ratio of 3-2-1.

But despite loftier goals, Bayless, the Chicago chef, says the Obamas could make a world of difference if they just publish what they are eating every day. "Everyone's going to want to be like the Obamas," he said.
Uh, think again, arugula breath.

Does he even have a drivers license?I always thought is was strange that one had to have a drivers license to drink in a bar.

My daughter cooks at Topolobampo. They only use the finest ingredients in everything. Bayless is a fanatic about ingredients.

In agreement with you. There is much of substance to pillory 0bama about. Use those items rather than obsessing over the trivial.
I'm one of the first to say that politics is a blood-sport. If you strike - strike hard and with substance.

Let me get this straight, President Bush is a tea totaler and is bashed for being an alcoholic, Obama smokes and drinks like a fish and he's cool.
OK.
