Without a doubt, the best in close ground support aircraft to ever fly, PERIOD. If politico’s and DOD contractor execs would stop with their greed, such aircraft could easily be improved upon w/ regards to avionics, weapons systems and performance. No need to change the armor on this aircraft unless it is lighter weight and performs like that on the Abrahams.

And more deadly. I remember an article a few years ago of a pilot being bushwhacked. The plane is shot to hell. All the hydraulics are gone(they have a manual back up. Part of the wing gone, part of the rudder GONE. Bullet holes everywhere. The Pilot brought that puppy home and got a standing ovation on the runway. The wing commander came out to give the pilot a salute and I'll be DAMNED! It was a chick. WHAT A LADY!
