LOL, allow me to clarify... 5 cents per round is not a huge tax when considering large calibers, which can be almost a buck a round. A 5-10% tax is surprisingly low for the Dems. Personally, ANY ammo tax is offensive and moronic, as are the rules for ammo encoding (as if the bad guys won’t just use the newly-created black market to get “clean” ammo which can be easily and cheaply made by anyone with reloading equipment, etc).

Not just “taxing” of each round.
Your purchase must be recorded, with all your information, and each group of serial numbers tagged to your purchase.

If some clerk makes an error, and a crime scene shows a serilized bullet that comes back to you and you were not involved—Good Luck getting yourself out of that!!!!
