Yes well put -- especially since I've stated the same.

But.. the question is, why does she become the issue and not her message?

She's made the issue by the 1960s street rabble and their ideological issue (the Rat Party, formerly the tradition, patriotic Democratic Party) who do not want her message to be heard.

The message is lost by her need to go overboard. Sometimes you can go too far. Cosby made the same points about single parents, called the men out who fail to step up and did a much better job.
