Physical attractiveness is important in choosing whom to date. Good looking people are not only popular targets for romantic pursuits, they themselves also tend to flock together with more attractive others. Does this mean then that more attractive versus less attractive people wear a different pair of lens when evaluating others attractiveness?

I’m just picturing the guy that is going to argue with you on your point. He’d have to say: “Now wait a minute. I’m freaking gorgeous, I mean seriously hot, that’s what I am, but my wife is a hideous beastly looking woman, like a 1 out of 10, I mean bad, really bad, but she has a heart of gold.” Do you think a woman would even WANT a man that doesn’t think she’s pretty or sexy?
Good observation.
Something that I see a whole lot of is fit, well built blue collar husbands with grotesquely fat wives, you see that in both black and white relationships.
Among the wealthy you do see a lot of trim attractive women with men that are not good looking but that make good money.
