If they can ignore the 20th amendment can we ignore the 16th amendment?

It gives the government to power to collect taxes via payroll with holding.

Unfortunately the 16th amendment is about what the government is allowed to do, not the people. So we can't ignore it unless we feel like getting arrested.

On the other hand, if you want to elect me to the government, I promise to not use my powers under the 16th amendment to collect taxes from anyone :-)

The government can do whatever it wants, whenever it wants.

What little remains of fidelity to the Constitution is simply a charade to confer legitimacy upon the caprices of our rulers.

There are provisions of the 14th amendment being ignored as well, from what I hear. If we throw that whole amendment out, slavery will be allowed. This is a constitutional nightmare if the Supreme Court doesn’t protect it.

For sure. If president is ineligible to hold office and if Congress is a party to that, the entire federal government is illegitimate and so is Federal Income tax.
