My son bought a lemon...and used the law. I told him to make all correspondence in writing and by mail with receipt return requested.

In court, GM said they never received the notices.

My son said the court proceeding took about 10 minutes after he produced the evidence. GM had to pay all court costs, too. My son did not use an attorney.

After mailing the letter to GM and waiting for a reply, how long did it take to complete the process - filling out the forms, getting a court date and a resolution?

Also, was this performed in small claims or another court (my issue could exceed $15,000 if they have to refund the vehicle value plus taxes and registration and court costs).
