Seeing how the pledge was written by a Christian Socialist, I don't see why he'd have a problem with it.

After reading its hostory years ago, I've never cared for the pledge or compelling people to recite it. I'd prefer a voluntary standing and listening as God Bless America or the national anthem play, and any jackass who doesn't stand voluntarily will be exposed for the jerk he is. Flame away.

Perhaps Obama would delete that part. It does, however, fit in with the rest of the oath in the original (translated):

Very little change needed as the intent is essentially the same.
