The HEAD RAT is nervous that his early 5 billion dollar bet that this would pass will blow up in his face.

Buffett is very liberal, but so far he has impressed me as speaking truth about his first art, finance. Maybe his politics has taken first place, but I’m not convinced yet.
To: DRey
Isn’t he kind of the poster boy for the Wall Street types?

I really detest this jack*ss Buffet; just never trusted him and now I better understand why.
To: DRey
Since he was on CNN, I can’t give him any credibility. He’s full of sh*t.

"Maybe his politics has taken first place, but Im not convinced yet."
I don't think it's his politics, I think it's his pocketbook. He stands to lose 1/3 of his most recent investment, $5 billion, tomorrow, plus who knows how much other he's got invested. He's got plenty of alterior motive in pitching for the bailout.

"Buffett to Congress: I Just Bought $5 Billion in Paulson’s Goldman-Sachs; You Better Cough Up the Dough"Yep, in fact the little twerp admitted that he would not have bought any of the GS preferred stock if the bailout wasn't going to pass.

Buffet told Arnie that us Californians don’t pay enough property tax. He wants all taxpayers to pay more for his benefit.
To: Pearls Before Swine
I have never, ever thought that he separated the two.
Throughout his entire financial career he has had his finger on the pulse of legislative initiatives that would affect the market - and taken advantage of them. This time he bet a huge stake on the passage of this scam.

Buffett to Congress: Bail out economy or face 'meltdown'Buffett's threat alone is reason enough not to vote for this.

Without question, Buffet bet a lot of money that the economy had hit bottom. Has it? I dunno. But Warren, just because you scream “help” doesn’t mean we have to put our money in your sizeable pockets.
