The first thing my friend said when we sat down to lunch was, “God, I hope McCain makes the right decision”. There is no right “one”, otherwise, we’d all be on the same page. I hope with so many pulling for Mitt, we haven’t caused McCain to back away from him. This is where his maverick tendencies start to get scary. Pawlenty seemed ok this morning on Fox, but do we have to start all over with our candidate? I’d love to see McCain come out with all the top choices and announce that they’re going to be in his cabinet. Speaking as a woman, this is like waiting for childbirth. The labor pains are starting and though I might prefer one sex over the other, I pray to God that we just have a healthy baby. So, no matter the choice, let’s get behind ‘em. The dems don’t know the meaning of real unity. I want those people to lose by such a large margin, there will be doubt where the country stands.

I like John Kaisich. The fact that McCain will be in Ohio tomorrow would — at least to me — give a hint that he may pick someone from swing state Ohio. Not sure if it’s a large hint, but who knows with John McCain.

Word just in that Secret Service rushed from Romney’s sister’s house to Pawlenty’s sister’s house.

They're ringing my bell and my brother didn't tell me he had been vetted!

At this point I don’t see McCain picking Romney. He’s currently running ads featuring major Democrats bashing Obama. If he picks Romney, the Democrats will do the same in return, and they will have a lot of material to work with.

I confess I'm not impressed with Pawlenty.

Raised Roman Catholic. Converted to Evangelical Protestantism due to his wife.

Seen Iscool lately?

LOL!

If true ---- McCain is throwing the White House to the Democrats as the ultimate “maverick” show of bipartisanship....

“I still say that Condi Rice would solidify a win in November.”

Condi is pro-abortion and pro-affirmative action. If McCain picks her, Obama will be our next president.

For the millionth time, Condi is an incompetant with not much respect from the American people due to her chronic mishandling of foreign affairs. Besides, an affirmative action candidate will not change the fact that over 90% of the black vote will go to Obama.

Is Governor Palin (is that right?) from Alaska in the running for VP? I don’t know a whole lot about her, but I think he’d be smart to choose her.

Look at Ridge’s time in the U.S. House: nuclear freeze, anti-Contra, pro-abortion. He isn’t beloved in Pennsylvania either. He’s more of a lump than a favored son.

Ridge is also ugly as sin. He looks like a bulldog runt.

If it’s Pawlenty, I will be very disappointed.

Saw Pawlenty on Fox & Friends this morning. I thought he was a great communicator. He was youthful and fresh. He's certainly no Dan Quayle.
