I went to purchase my copy of the just released The Obama Nation (by Jerome R. Corsi, PH.D.) Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality at a San Francisco Bay Area Barnes & Noble book store. The book is all the buzz on talk radio, and even among the Leftist media which hates America and which is currently supervising the election campaign for Obama. The is no question, the book is going to be a top seller.
This Barnes & Nobles has a New Releases / Just Arrivals section which is always prominently displayed when you walk into the store. In fact, they have several such displays for the latest releases.
The book was no where to be found.
There were, of course, other Obama books. All of them authored by leftists.
I searched around.
I finally found the book in the back of the store, in the political science / current affairs section.
There was only one copy.
This section is organized alphabetically, using the last name of the author and not by the title.
The book, and there was only one, was shelved with the back binding out, and not with the front cover displayed. And, unless you knew the specific author, you would not have found it. In fact, if you were simply browsing for books of interest on Obama, you certainly would have never of found this book you would have had to have been specifically looking for it, and you would have had to have know the authors last name.
Since I purchased the only copy, there will be no copies available on the floor of the store until they replace the copy I had purchased.
The Barnes & Noble books stores in the bay area, this one in particular, does this every single time a conservative, or pro-American in other words anything that isnt Leftist or partly-line Democratic is released.
These people are pigs. Those who are managing this store, they do this for political reasons.
If they could, they would not even allow free speech. We would be living in a Hugo Chavez dictatorship. We would be under a Hugo Chaves militia, which would replace our military. The militia would be political police, its cadre socialist pigs.
Didnt Obama say, that he wants to replace our military with a militia?
I wonder what would be the crime, the penalty, for possessing such a book?
This is unofficial censorship by the bookseller. I suggest you write to the local Barnes and Noble managment and the national management complaining about this and use the word ‘censorship’ so they know how seriously you consider it.
I know there are conservatives in SF because that’s where Michael Savage is based, so there must be a market for the book. There is no excuse for only having one copy on the shelf, unless the book is nearly sold out.
By the way, how’s the book?
When Rush published his first books, callers called in with very funny stories about where they found his book hidden in stores. I see things haven’t changed.
I believe it kept being found in the fiction and comedy sections. We’ve come a long way.
I was at *gasp* Walmart today buying school supplies for the kiddos and I went down the book aisle to see if there was anything interesting. I saw that there was an obama book and a McCain book side by side. I decided that I would act a little naughty and covered the obama book with the McCain book. Funny though, of all the times that I have been on the book aisle or even in a book store I RARELY ever see any of the people who give obama 90% of their support. I wonder what they are buying instead.
It’s #5 at Amazon .. behind 2 editions of the latest Rowling book. Not bad for only being out a day. Booksellrs like B&N will go follow the MSM to its own demise.
Whaddya expect from B&B?
They sponsored Bill Ayers book tour after 9/11.
CEO Leonard Riggio has donated to Hillary, Kerry, Rangel, and other idiots over the years.

Booksellers are allowed to do that. We are allowed to patronize other booksellers. That’s called Capitalism.
There have been many, many complaints. This is not new. They will do it now, and they will do it again. The book will still be a top seller. The market will be sold on the internet. And this Barnes & Noble book store, typical of all the San Francisco Bay Area, will continue to hide books in this manner, because they are political police, and the Left wants to police the people, and the minds of the people, and what the people should see, and what they should be told, and most important of all - what they will not be told.
I asked for the Ron Paul book at Barnes & Noble. Accordding to their computer, they had several copies but none could be found on the shelves. I finally had a clerk “go fetch.” She found it on a table of “sale” books.
BTW, it’s a pretty good book.
Four years ago, there were several threads about B&B either hiding or not stocking Corsi’s “Unfit for Command.”
Here’s one of those threads:

Wait. This is San Francisco and you’re surprised?
It came to that in Chile and Pinochet put an end to it. Methinks the military would trump the socialist secret police again.
They do that all the time. Give up the fight and buy on Amazon. If you are disturbed enough, when in B&N go to the magazine section, shake out the Time and Newsweak subscription littler cards and drop in the mail for recycling. All you can do.
You shouldn’t have bought it there but gone somewhere else. Why give them your custom? The hip pocket is the only way to get through in these situations.
You got to realize that your average book store worker is living off of a trust fund. They have probably been attending college for the last 20 years majoring in liberal arts.
I stopped patronizing stores like this.
In any case remember, when they hide the book, you can always go to the front and ask for it in a loud voice. Some people, like Ann Coulter and Savage, take pleasure in naming their books “fun to ask for” titles.
Just go to the front desk, and ask for, in a loud voice, “Where are the copies of ‘Liberalism is a Mental Disorder?”

Order online.
This censorship- this blackoout on anything anti-Obama is getting really, really scary.
What is this becoming, Russia?
Today I found one of my favorite sites for reference material in my internet war on Obama was discontinued.
It had a sign up ‘We do not uphold racial discrimination’ or something like that.
They never did. All they did was report the facts.
